H009 - Lever Action Rifle .30-30 in Blued Steel

Between the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, PA and the NRA Annual Meeting in Dallas, TX we’ve had the chance to talk to so many shooters and we’ve noticed a common theme. People who have never been hunting before are now interested in taking up the sport, and they’re on the hunt for their first dedicated deer rifle.

If this sounds like you then we would suggest taking a good look at the Henry Lever Action .30-30 in blued steel. It’s the perennial choice for the whitetail hunter for a reason.

Why .30-30?

The ammo is readily available just about anywhere, the recoil is relatively light (about ½ the perceived recoil of a .30-06), and it has achieved legendary status as the ubiquitous deer round for a lever action rifle through many, many decades of hunting.

What do you think?

At 55 years old I finally was able to go on a black bear hunt. We went to Route Lake, Canada. With my Henry 45-70 open sights I took home a 280 lb black bear. Let me tell you that using a Henry 45-70 the bear dropped in its tracks. I own 7 Henry’s and for me the choice was easy. Bucket list bear with only one shot and the only gun I would trust. Thanks to the men and women at Henry ! Tom

Just saw the H0009cc but cannot locate the gun at three areas I purchase from, hope this picture was not a teaser. It looks like a beauty. Got 5 Henry’s right now but haven’t shot one, so I bought my son one and he assured me it shoots as good as it looks. I just think the feel and construction of this firearm is wonderful. On my limited budget I hope to one day have a complete collection. Thanks for building such a beautiful firearm.

I had a color case hardened Henry 30-30 and 45-70 but sold them to a good friend that was drooling on them. I sure wish I had them back. One day I will replace the, they were beautiful. I do have the color case hardened .357 now and love it!

I have only four henrys so far but intend to add a few more.
All are smooth action, good looking and pleasant to carry and shoot.

Just recently purchased a H009 and have really enjoyed shooting it. Will be using this season deer hunting and very much looking forward to that. The CC model is a beautiful rifle.
